Maggie Lawson, if you're reading this, the answer is "Yes, I am available to take you out to dinner."
And yes, I will also help you update your website.

My dream died today...
And I was so close...
It's been a pretty mild and uneventful winter here in Fargo. I was really hoping to go the entire winter without having to shovel my driveway. Got some snow last Saturday night, but I was still able to drive out. I cleared some off with my shovel, but most of it melted throughout the week. A winter storm came through the area starting last night. I got out of the garage without a problem this morning, but it took three or four tries for me to get over the hump and back in when I got home from work. Thank god for first gear.
I can't wait for global warming to get here...

Can't keep a good dog down
I was thinking this weekend (I was bored). I should really get my personal website back up.
First thing, I went through some pics. Fond memories. I'm gonna have to buy a digital camera...
Then today, I considered a new color scheme for my site.
But I can't decide. There are just too many pretty colors. Do I go for light blues? Navies? Purples? Reds? Greens? Oranges? I just can't choose.
Do I have crayons...? Hmm...
I used to go with multiple color schemes, one for each section of my website. Then I consolidated at the advice of a friend.
Let me know if you have a suggestion.

Return of the Fritz
Well, I guess I'll make this official. I'm back.
I've been debating it for a few weeks, but have no had enough desire to take to time to sit at my keyboard to write.
Here's what happened since Dec. 2005:
I've been debating it for a few weeks, but have no had enough desire to take to time to sit at my keyboard to write.
Here's what happened since Dec. 2005:
- I let World of Warcraft consume my life. Big mistake. Sometimes 6, 8, even 10 hours a day. I never should have accepted the promotion to Guild Master.
- Parents moved from Hawaii to Colorado. They came to visit twice. Each occurrence was a Thurs.-Tues. weekend.
- Moved to application development at Phoenix International for about 3 months, before finally getting rolled over to full-time desktop support technician.
- Improved my Linux-y skills, thanks to my guild website.
- Preparations to sell my parents' house and move into an apartment.
- I'm starting to recruit golf buddies for the upcoming summer. I would have picked up golf last summer, but I couldn't spare the roughly $300 investment for golf equipment as a temp.
- Bought a laptop, so I can sit in my recliner and surf the 'net.
- Watching Scrubs, Star Trek: Voyager, Adult Swim, House, and WWE Raw. Yes, I know it's fake. That doesn't make it any less entertaining. If you have a problem with that, I got two words for you: SUCK IT!!
I guess that's about it. No guarantee as to how often I'll blog in the near future. Oh well. *shrug*

Didn't see this one coming, did you?
Yes, I've done nothing with this blog since I started playing WoW. But that's not the point...
Just a random thought from out of the blue...
If you're a single female, and you have kids, I'm setting these ground rules:
1. You must be up front with the fact that you have kids. You need to mention it at our first encounter, and the sooner the better. Surprise me with them after that, and it's over before it even started.
2. I want to have my OWN kids someday. If you don't want any more kids, then you can't have mine.
3. All the kids you already have must have the same father. It gets too weird if I'm the third man in this equation.
4. The father must take responsibility for his kids. This means financially. As long as he pays his fair share, I have no problem chipping in.
5. You should act civil when you encounter the father of your children. I'd hate to think that could be us someday.
6. If we get married, your children have to respect my authority. And you have to help me drill that fact into their heads. I'm not going to be a hardass, but you DID choose me to be a father figure to them, so let me do the job.
This pretty much covers it, but I may add more.
Disclaimer: #4 and #5 are not applicable if the children's original father has passed away.

Where am I?
You may be wondering why I haven't posted a thing in nearly two months.
World of Warcraft
Amazing, addictive game. Like heroin. A full write-up when I can stop playing for more than 15 minutes.

Damn biased media.
It snows and blizzards in North Dakota, only the locals pay attention. Ice, wind, death, cold, blackouts. Nobody else cares.
It snows and blizzards anywhere else in the US (not the Upper Midwest), it's the top story on the national evening news. Same look, same weather, same exact results. Total garbage.
You people would have nothing without us. NO-THING.

The most fun I have ever had
This game is the most addictive, most entertaining, most intense, hardest, riotest, scream-at-the-top-of-your-lungs, funniest, most painful, most rewarding game of your life. If I were an Editor at EGM, I'd give it a 12 out of 10, game of the millenium, Gold++++ Medal.
Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law - Stop That Sandwich!
The goal? Beat the crap out of your co-workers in an effort to maintain possession of the last egg salad sandwich in the office.
The only thing that would make it better - multiplayer mode. And putting it on a console.
Playing this game must be what pure ecstacy is like.
Update 12/8/05: My high score is 266,663,195.

You know what I find annoying?
Besides that.
And that.
And that.
And her.
